Meet Our Coaches
Head Coach Karen Callaghan Rosolowski
Karen is the head coach of Los Angeles Synchro. She was a member of the US National team from 1979-
1983, and won a world championship with them in 1982. In 1983, she took a silver medal at the Pan-American
Games. She was a 4-year scholar athlete at Ohio State University and is in their athlete hall of fame. She is
also a world champion in multiple events at the master's level. She is recently took first place in both team
and duet events at the 2009 National Master's Championships. This is Karen's 9th year with Los Angeles
Synchro.
LAS has a continued tradition of attracting top-level coaches. Meet our current full-time coaches.
Angela Camero
This is Coach Angela's 7th year with Los Angeles Synchro. She was a member of the synchro team at Ohio
State University that won two national championships. Angela began her synchro career swimming on the
COLA's synchronized swimming team. She later swam for Glendale Synchro before going on to swim for
Ohio State University. Angela continues to compete as well as coach. She has held the title of World
Champion at the master's level in trio.
Los Angeles
Paula Jennings
Coach Paula joined the LAS coaching staff 4 years ago. Paula is an alumni swimmer of LAS. She
currently attends CSUN as well as coaches. She has competed at Junior Nationals, U.S. Open and
Age Group Nationals in both team and small routines.
Some of Los Angeles Synchro's past top level coaches have included former Olympians and National team members from the U.S. and other countries: Jenny Baik, Jeanette Bacigalupo, Margot Thien, and Becky Dyroen-Lancer.

Kristin Ash
Coach Kristin joined the LAS program 6 years ago. In addition to swimming in the collegiate program for
Ohio State University, Kristen has a background in gymnastics that makes her a great flexibility coach
for our swimmers. Kristen continues to compete as well as coach. Along with Coach Angela, she has
held the title of World Champion at the master's level in trio.
Emily Elam
Coach Emily joined the LAS coaching staff 3 years ago. Emily is an alumni swimmer of LAS. She currently attends Mount Saint Mary's College as well as coaches. She has competed at Junior
Nationals, U.S. Open and Age Group Nationals in both team and small routines and has placed in the
top 8.
SYNCHRO
Jennie Finerty
Coach Jennie swam for 15 years, first in Colorado, and then in Santa Clara, California. While training on the Santa Clara Aquamaids' top team from 2003-2006, Jennie won four consecutive Senior National Championships in the team event, and placed in the top four in the duet event with her twin sister. She was a National Team member from 2003-2007, and she was a member of the 2008 Olympic Training Squad. Jennie has been coaching synchro since 2004, including the Santa Clara Aquamaids' 11-12 Team to a 1st place finish at Age Group Nationals in 2009.
