We
were established in 1978 by Patti Woodman to provide novice
swimmers with an opportunity to achieve a higher level of
synchronized swimming skills. Over the years, with the
guidance from top coaches, our program and swimmers have continued
to advance with Los Angeles Synchro alumni going on to swim on
U.S. National teams.
Some of Los Angeles Synchro's
past and current high level coaches include former olympians, world
champions, and national team members from the U.S. and other
countries: Jenny Baik, Jeanette Bacigalupo, Margot Thien, Becky
Dyroen-Lancer, and current coaches Jennie Culp-Finerty and Meghan
Kinney-Avrett.
Los Angeles Synchro was a Los Angeles City sponsored team from 1978
to December 2010. In December of 2010, the L.A. City budget cuts no
longer allowed allow the City of Los Angeles to sponsor any of
their many club level teams. We are very grateful to the City of
Los Angeles for helping us become the team we are today and for our
continued partnership that we have with
them.
December 2010 started a new chapter of excellence for our team. We
became incorporated, and we changed our official name to Los
Angeles Synchronized Swim Club. We achieved our 501(c)(3) tax
exempt status, have a board, and have continued our tradition of
excellence with our athletes.
During the 2011/2012 season we had athletes qualify and attend U.S.
National Team Training Camps, and U.S. National Team
Trials. At U.S. Open, an
international meet, both our routines scored in the top
ten.At State Games, we took
home the title of State Champions in synchronized swimming.
We also continued our tradition of placing routines in the top ten
nationally at Age Group Nationals. This is in addition to the many
other outstanding accomplishments and medals our team brought home
this year! We are looking forward to another excellent season
in 2012/2013! If you would like to
know more about our team and/or want to become part of a team who

together, please email us by clicking HERE
